I was born and raised in Timmins, Ontario and love the lifestyle this city has to offer. Its slow pace, close proximity to the wilderness, the many nature trails and most of all the people is why I chose to live here.
I am a very active person and sports enthusiast. I regularly jog, lift weights, train in Karate (Blue Belt) & Judo (Orange Belt), play ball hockey and participated in various physical events. My most recent accomplishment was the completion of Tough Mudder Toronto 2018.
I first studied electronic engineering at RCC College of Technology where I got my technician diploma. From there I started working in Timmins for Spectrum Communication as a communication technician. After a little over 3 years, I changed jobs and worked as a labourer/grader for Eacom-McChesney, a local sawmill. Having always wanted to help people I decided to go back to school and study massage therapy. I graduated from Georgian College with honours and on the Dean’s list. I became a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in June 2012.
I am trained in a variety of modalities and prefer to use a variety of techniques to achieve evidence-based goals. I frequently use hydrotherapy, fascial techniques, trigger point release, neuromuscular techniques and stretches as well as remedial exercise in my treatments.
I have acquired over 8,000 hours of hands-on experience. This experience comes from working in my practice and from various outreaches helping people in a nursing home, working with fibromyalgia patients, complex care patients, pre-natal and infant massage as well as two months with varsity athletes. I have also worked with weekend warriors and participated in various volunteer works.
